Blah, blah blah..... But, that's ok, we've been pretty busy. So much has gone on this year! I obviously can't update you all on everything, but I will give you a quick update. Liberty will be 4 in April! WOW! She has been in dance class since September and she loves it! She is learning so much and she can't wait to go every week. She will be starting preschool this September and talks about it constantly, she is so excited! She is now in Sunbeams and is loving every second of it. She gave her first "talk" this last Sunday and she did amazing! I was such a proud Mama. She is growing so much. I think she really has hit a growth spurt the last couple of months. She has always been so little, so petite, so much smaller than she is supposed to be. She all of a sudden seems to have gotten so much taller. She still is still super-skinny, but I actually had to go and get her new pants because her size 3s were beginning to look like a flood was coming. She's obsessed with Disney Princesses right now and I am sure she will be for a long time to come. Over all, she is just growing up so fast, learning so much and she is just so much fun to be around. Oh man.......we LOVE this little girl so much!

Paisley is just.......is just.......Paisley! She is seriously the funniest kid ever! She just turned 18 months. She just started going to Nursery 2 weeks ago and seems to really enjoy it. Oh man, she has her own little personality that is unlike any I have seen before in a kid. She doesn't really seem to show much expression. She either has a serious face or is smiling and that's about it. If someone comes up to her and starts talking to her, she just stares at them with her serious face on. It's actually quite comical. She is never walking anywhere, it's always running. She is climbing all over everything and is in everything. She loves to follow Liberty around and do what Liberty is doing/have what Liberty has. She just loves her big sister! She is loving Barney, Elmo and Mickey Mouse characters right now. She's so much fun, we just LOVE having her with us.

New Pictures

So, I know I am absolutely the worst blogger in the world. But seriously, when you are working on the computer as much as I am, the last thing you want to do is get on the computer again and update your blog. So, sorry to all. But really, I am seriously going to try to do a better job of keeping it updated. Anywho.... What's new? Nothing really.

Liberty just turned 3. She went to the dentist for the very first time today. She did much better than I ever thought she would. The dentist said that her teeth look great. At her 3 year old check up with her pediatrician, she did really great. She wasn't scared of the doctor like she has been in the past, (due to steroid shots with croup). She now weighs in at a whopping 27.5 pound, which is in the 17.9% and is 36 inches tall, (3 feet for those who need some help), which is in the 26.33%. So, she is up a lot since her below 10% in both areas at 2 years old. Liberty has sure come a long ways in the last few months. She is now potty trained and can go in and do her "business" without anyone elses help. She can put her shoes, clothes, jackets, etc. on and take them off all by herself, (these are bitter-sweet things, depending on the situation!). She knows most of her colors and shapes, she can count to at least 10, she knows some of the ABC's and is doing really well in her conversations with people. She's so much fun and such a joy, most of the time!

Paisley is turning 9 months tomorrow! Man, where has the time gone? She now has 2 of her bottom, front teeth with more on the way. She has been sitting up for a while and is just a big chicken when it comes to crawling. She will get in the position to crawl, but just won't make the move forward. She is really getting frustrated with not being able to go where she wants. She is so darn chubby and it is so dang cute! Liberty was a little scrawny thing, so having a chubby baby is new for us. At the rate she is going, I think by the time Paisley gets to be about 2 years old, her and Liberty will probably be wearing the same size clothes. Oh but she is SO, SO much fun! Her personality is so different from what Liberty's was and is. She is just a really happy, easy-going baby, (nothing at all like Liberty!).

Anyways....here are some really cute pictures we got taken of the girls for Mother's Day and for their 3 year old and 9 month pictures. Michelle Kemp, Riley's sister, took the pictures. She does an amazing job! I know, I know....I am really slow at posting, I have already caught a lot of slack from people for not posting about it yet. ANYWAYS!!!! So, we went to SeaWorld, Hollywood, Newport Beach and then of course we did the 3 days of Disneyland and California Adventure. I haven't ever really been to Disneyland, so this was not only a treat for Liberty, but I was just as excited as she was. Liberty was so cute when she saw the characters, she would scream, "MOM! MOM! LOOK! IT'S ......." It was SO much fun to watch her! Liberty got to meet Mickey, Minney, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Eeore, Pooh, Tigger, Pocahontas, Cinderella, Aurora, Stitch, Kota, Kenai, and was able to see many, many other characters in the Pixar Parade at California Adventure.

Paisley at the pool is Las Vegas.

The Disney characters do their jobs amazingly! They were all very patient and very cute with all of the children waiting to meet them. I couldn't have been more impressed! Princess Aurora sat there and talked with Liberty for about a minute. I have NO idea what was said, but I could tell Liberty was paying attention and couldn't have been happier. Mickey couldn't get enough of Paisley. He kept trying to stick his nose in her mouth and kept playing with her and Liberty. Finally, the people there with Mickey had to tell him that he needed to move on to other people. On our last day there, Liberty had colored Goofy a picture and right when we got in the gates, we saw him. So, we had to fight a million other kids to get to him and she gave him her picture she colored and it was SO cute! He folded it up, put it in his pocket and gave her a kiss. Then, a few minutes later, he came back over to us and played with her for a minute and gave her another little kiss. These characters do their jobs well! We loved them!

Paisley trying to eat Mickey's nose.

SeaWorld was a lot of fun. It was colder that day, but it was still amazing to see all of the animals and their tricks. One of our favorite shows is the "Pets" show. I can't remember the name, but it's when they have several dogs, cats, ducks and pigs perform little tricks. It was fun to watch. Of course, we got to watch Shamu and the other whales perform their tricks too. We went down and we were able to see inside the tank and see a whale and it's baby. Unfortunately, a few of the shows weren't running that day, but it was still a really fun day. Plus, on the way back to the Anaheim area that night, we were able to see the San Diego Temple. What a beautiful temple! I had only seen pictures before and I have always wanted to see it for myself.

We decided to head to Hollywood one day and take a Stars Tour. I had taken one before, about 9 years ago, and loved it. So, we all got in an "open" van and travelled around Hollywood and Beverly Hills. We got to see many, many clubs and restaurants that the "stars" frequent. We got to see the Hollywood sign up close and overlook the L.A. area. We got to see the homes of: Charlize Theron, Bob Barker, James Dean's old house, the Skipper from Gilligan's Island, Christina Agulera (the former home of the Osbourne's), Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Dr. Phil, the owner of GUESS, Jackie Chan, Snoop Dog, Michael Jackson (and all of the paparazzi outside of his house), Marilyn Monroe's old house, the Beckham's and many, many others. We got to go down Rodeo Drive, Hollywood Blvd., Sunset Strip and many other famous streets. It was quite the fun and informative tour. Although, I think Riley's favorite part about the whole thing was the ridiculously expensive cars we saw. I've never seen so many Bentleys before!

Dr. Phil's house

One of the many cars we saw, but this is one of Riley's favorites.
For part of our last day there in California, we went to Newport Beach. The day started off really nice, but then the wind picked up and it was crazy! We still had a lot of fun, but it was really, really windy! I would not want to live in any of those beach houses along where we were. I hate dusting! I couldn't even imagine dealing with all of the sand that gets inside the house in a wind storm. But, we all had fun! Paisley loved putting her hands in the sand and playing with it. Liberty and Riley went and played in the sand and water. Riley even buried Liberty and made the sand around her make her look like a mermaid.

The mermaid.

Overall, this was such and amazing trip! Liberty is growing like crazy and is already in the horrid 3 stage, even though she doesn't turn 3 until April. Although, one wonderful thing, she is pretty much potty-trained now. (YAY! Praise the Lord!) But, we still have a few accidents now and then. But, for the most part, we are there! Paisley is now 6 months old. She is HUGE! I think she is so much bigger that Liberty ever was! We will find out what she weighs and what percentile she is in and all that on Thursday and I can't wait to compare her measurements to what Liberty's were. I swear she is twice as big as Liberty was at this age. Anyways.... she is so much fun! We just love having her! Every time Liberty comes near her, she just laughs and screams and tries to talk to Liberty, it is so cute! She is now trying to roll everywhere. I swear she is going to be crawling before we know it. Riley has been snow plowing quite a bit the last month and in his spare time, he has been hunting coyotes and trying to plan his whole hunting year with his friends and family. As for me, I have just been crazy busy it seems. Between running Liberty to the potty every 30 minutes and changing accidents in between, work, constantly feeding Paisley, (a.k.a. "the tank"), nap times, feeding times, my new calling and all of its meetings, trying to maintain a clean house, (yeah right!!!), and all of the other everyday life stuff, I feel like a chicken with it's head cut off!

Even though this last week was a crazy week, it was quite enjoyable. Riley and I were able to attend the Temple Sealing of my cousin Cameron and our great friend Kamie. So, for those of you who don't know the whole story, Riley and I kind of set Cameron and Kamie up. Now, this gets kind of confusing, so bear with me. Kamie Kemp is Riley's sister's, Michelle, sister-in-law. Kamie also worked as the secretary at Brätt Landscaping. The Brätt Family and the Kemp Family have known each other for quite a while throughout high school and church. Cameron Tingey is my wonderful cousin. We suggested that Cameron ask Kamie out and he followed through! I still can't believe that they got married! How often is it that you set people up and it actually works out? So, Riley and I are thrilled that two people that we love are now married. They are the cutest couple and were just glowing the entire day. I truly love my cousins, they have been such a great example to me through the years. I love, love, love getting together with the Tingey side of my family. It is usually only about once a year, so when we do get together, I really enjoy seeing everyone. For Cameron and Kamie's wedding present, we offered to make their wedding cake. I think they must be crazy, because they agreed! Here are some pictures, so you guys will have to be the judge! Here are so more pictures of Riley and the girls. I was telling Riley that you can't put bubble bath in a jetted tub because when you run the jets, it just creates a million bubbles and the bubbles will never stop with the jets running. So, to cure his curiosity and to prove my point, he told me to put some bubble bath in the tub. WOW! All I can say was that Liberty was in heaven. Paisley kept getting bubbles in her face and she would freak out thinking she couldn't breathe. What an experience! I hope Riley will believe me about stupid stuff like this from now on! Come on, I am the Queen of Stupid! Hehe!

New Pictures of the Girls

So, we got some pictures taken of the girls on November 12, when Paisley was 3 months old. The middle part of December, I came down with a horrible cold that lasted about two weeks. About a week into the cold, I ended up getting the stomach flu too. It was not fun at all! A few days after Christmas, Liberty got croup and couldn't seem to kick it. Paisley ended up picking up Liberty's sickness, but not quite to the croup stage, and is barely seeming better today. So, in just a week and a half, we had 4 visits to the doctor's office, 3 shots, 3 visits to the pharmacy, many tears and many sleepless nights. I'm pooped! Plus, it snowed so much, so Riley was out plowing constantly. December was a hard month!

Other than sicknesses in our house, things have been really good. Christmas was so much fun. Liberty is at the age now where she is understanding the whole idea of Christmas and opening gifts. After seeing how excited and happy she was on Christmas, I can't wait until next year! Plus, we were lucky enough to have my dad in the country for Christmas this year. He hasn't been able to be around for Christmas the last two years.
Santa was very good to the girls this year. Liberty got an aquadoodle and a set of doll accessories; a highchair, bouncer, stroller, swing, car seat and diaper bag. Paisley got a jumperoo and she absolutely loves it! She seems as though she could jump in it for hours. Both girls got a Learn and Groove Table to share. AND from everyone else, they were completely spoiled! They got everything from DVD players for the car, clothes, personalized piggy banks, dolls, blankets, night lights and candy. Riley seems to think that they doubled their toy collection this Christmas, I think I'd probably have to agree.

The Last Month.....

So, I know that I am probably the worst blogger that anyone has ever seen. I never know what to post. I always think, "I should blog about this...." and then I think, "No, that's stupid, no one wants to read about that!" Anyways....I have been getting a lot of slack for not posting about what has been going on lately, so here we go......

Liberty is growing like a weed. She finally fits in her size 2t pants, (she'll be 3 in April). They fit great length wise, but I have them on the tightest elastic adjustable hole thingy they'll go to. She is still so little, but just seems to be getting so BIG! It is so crazy to me that I can carry on a full conversation with her about anything, whether it be in person or over the phone. She has been saying/asking some of the most random, funny things. Lately, she will all of the sudden look at me with this really cute look on her face and ask, "Mommy, what time is it?" I then proceed to tell her and she'll thank me and continue with what she was doing. It's so funny! It has been snowing so much here lately and Liberty is obsessed with the snow. She just wants to go run and play in it all day. She'll stomp through the snow to go anywhere and then will get really excited and say, "Look, do you see my shoes!" and she wants us to look at all of her shoe prints through the snow. We went and saw Santa Clause a couple weeks ago down at the railroad and Liberty would not unclaw herself from me to see him. We went and saw the Santa Clause at the Mall and I really had to give her a pep-talk and tell her that if she didn't tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas, he wouldn't know and wouldn't be able to bring her what she wanted. So, she sat on his lap and did a really great job and telling him that she wanted a stroller for her dolls.

Paisley is a tank! I swear she is twice as big as Liberty was at this age, 4 months, but I looked at their doctors slips and there is only a 2 ounce difference. I just can't seem to keep Paisley full. It seems like all she wants to do is eat and she has been really interested when she sees one of us eating. So, after doing some reading and talking to the doctor, they all say that it's fine to start trying to feed her solids as long as she'll eat them. BOY does she eat them! This kid can eat! I can not believe that my 4 month old is already eating a container of solid food in one sitting!!!!! She devours food! If I start eating and don't get her her food, she gets really angry. Paisley also sat on Santa's lap at the railroad. She was fine while sitting there getting her picture taken, but then when we took her off of his lap and she saw him, she was screaming for 15 minutes! She has never cried like that before, even when she's had her shots. So, the second time to see Santa at the mall was also a much better experience for her too. She was calm and didn't mind sitting there at all. Nice!

Riley has been really busy snow plowing, as you can all imagine. It has snowed a ton lately. He is in charge of the snow plowing for the company, so he has to make sure he knows what the weather is supposed to be like and he is up a few times a night checking out the window. If it snows, he has to call all of his guys and they have to plow several stores, churches and private communities. Other than plowing, Riley has just been busy with work, me and the kids.

I have been busy trying to figure out what to get everyone for Christmas. I knew it was going to be difficult taking the two kids out to stores to go shopping, plus I didn't want them to get sick, so I ordered 95% of our gifts this year off of the internet. I have decided that this is how I am going to shop every year! So, in not taking the kids out to grocery stores or shopping centers, I have just gone by myself at nights. Well, in trying not to get them sick, I have been the one who has gotten sick, really sick. I had a horrible head cold for almost two weeks and about a week into it, I got an awful stomach flu. I am just grateful the kids didn't get it!

So, that's the update in a nutshell. Nothing too exciting happening. I will post pictures of Christmas, I promise! They might not get on here until February, but I promise I'll post them. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and we love you all!

Tagged

So, I finally gave into to the tagging bug. This is a picture of the mountains up American Fork Canyon after the first snow. I believe this was the first weekend in October. You probably can't really tell by the picture, but it was such an amazing and beautiful thing to see. In the bottom half of the picture, the trees all had colored leaves and then the top half, there are snowy mountains. We just really enjoyed the beauty of that day. So, to all those who I don't think have done this, Debie, Michelle, Jodi L., Amy, Erin, Ellie and whoever else wants to, I tag you!

Here are the rules:
1. They are just creepy and disgusting! (Sometimes I think they are out to get me!)

Ok, so....many of you might not know, but in our old house in Spring of 2007, we had snakes INSIDE our house! I know! I know! CREEPY! How you might ask? Well, it's kind of hard to explain, but I'll try. So, we had this gas fireplace in our basement that had a roof type thing that was over it's base/casing that was at about ground level. Well, apparently, because it was pretty much level with the ground, it was more likely to rot. Well, what happens when wood rots? There are holes! Well, the only conclusion that we can come to is that a mother snake got into the holes in the fall/winter of 2006 and then had her babies in the Spring. Well, I counted 4 snakes that I personally saw crawl out of the grill of this fireplace. I honestly don't know how many came in when I wasn't watching! Anyways.... Riley fixed the problem A.S.A.P., once we found the problem of course.

Anyways..... so a few days before moving into our new house, while living in my mom's basement, Liberty starts telling Riley, "Look Daddy, a snake!" Well, Riley doesn't really think there is a snake and just pretty much says, "Wow! Really? Yep." Well, a few minutes go by and she keeps saying it, so finally Riley looks and what does he see, a snake! Liberty was right and we had a snake in the window well of our kitchen/dining room.

I know many of you probably think I am just a lunatic for blogging about this, but I figured if there were a couple people that would sympathize with me, it was surely be Teri Sue and Susan. Liberty was Minnie Mouse and Paisley, (at the last minute), was a flower. I know you can't see all of Liberty's costume, but she is wearing these red glittered shoes that I couldn't keep away from her! She was constantly wanting to wear them everywhere. I, of course, didn't want them to get ruined before she could wear them with her costume. Both girls were so cute and so much fun! We have been looking at houses like crazy! Well, we kind of had our eyes on a couple in this one neighborhood and once we FINALLY closed on the house we sold, we really started "looking" at one to buy. We were very fortunate to find that one of the houses in that neighborhood we had been watching, had gone into foreclosure. It had a clean title and the bank was just wanting to dump it! So, we got a really great deal on the house, an awesome interest rate and they wanted to close in a week. So, this last Friday, we closed on the house and Saturday we moved 90% of our stuff in. Unfortunately though, I work from home on the internet and we are still trying to get internet hook-up there, so we really can't live there until I get the internet. Anywho....that just gives me time to put stuff away over there. (Plus, there's no blinds yet! EEK!)

So, after a long day of moving on Saturday and trying to put stuff away, we decided to go to the Corn Maze at Thanksgiving Point with my mom and her friend Jene. On the way to parking, we noticed they had helicopter rides. We started walking towards the Corn Maze when we heard someone say the the rides are only $35! So, my mom's friend Jene decided we all needed to do this and that we could cross this item off of our "bucket-list." Well, Jene, Riley, Liberty and I went for a helicopter ride, (my mom was too big of a chicken!). It was amazing!!!! I don't think Liberty's smile could have gotten any bigger. It was so much fun! The pictures suck because they were taken on my phone, but you get the picture!

After the helicopter ride, we went to the Corn Maze and they had so much stuff to do there. They had a ton of stuff geared towards little kids. If you are wanting to go to a Corn Maze with your kids, I recommend taking them to Thanksgiving Point! Liberty had a blast, Paisley slept the whole time in the pack, and it was a fun family outing.

Blessing Day

We were given the opportunity to have Paisley blessed yesterday and I just thought I'd post a picture of her and her daddy on her "big" day. He is an amazing person and would never let that stop him from doing anything. Through the years that we've been married, we have found that there are several activities supporting diabetes that are sponsored by various groups throughout the year. We have attended many but, our most favorite is probably the Walk for the Cure. Once a year, the American Diabetes Association hosts a walk in Salt Lake City. For the last 3 years, Riley, Liberty and I have been able to do the walk with thousands of others and this year, Paisley was here to join us, along with Riley's mom, Debie. The walk begins at This is the Place Park and ends at the Hogle Zoo. So, we take the opportunity to enjoy the zoo after the walk. In years past, the weather has been quite unpredictable. The first year, the weather was a bit cooler, but the sun was shining, last year it was snowing, and this year it was a sunny, 85 degrees.

Liberty has been able to go to the zoo 2 times this year and both times, she just LOVED the monkeys! Between crazy work schedules for both Riley and myself, doctor appointments, dentist appointments, work meetings, lunch dates, church appointments, the deer hunt starting and the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy, it's just been one thing right after the next. But, with everything that's been going on in our busy lives and having a new baby, I feel like I've deprived Liberty of some attention and play time with friends. Plus, we really needed some "family" time for all of us. So, in the last week or so, I have really tried to set times aside for Liberty to get a chance to play with other little ones and for all of us to actually spend some time together.

So, here are some pictures of Liberty and her best friend MaTaya playing and pictures of family night with some of my cousins and their kids at Kangaroo Zoo. We found out that she had "Cow's Milk Protein Allergy" and really bad acid reflux when she was about 5 weeks old. What this means is that she was allergic to breast milk, regular formula and soy formula. We had to give her a hypoallergenic formula, Nutramigen, a prescription for her acid reflux, a prescription for her stomach/intestinal cramping and gas drops. Plus, we had to take her to see a Pediatric G.I. doctor when she was 4 months old, (there was over a three month waiting list to be seen). Well, Riley and I hoped and prayed that our new little one, Paisley, would not have the same troubles. Well, unfortunately, we weren't so lucky. Poor little Paisley has all the same problems that Liberty had, but her acid reflux is much, much worse. Have you ever seen a newborn baby dry heave??? Not just spit up, but actually dry heave? It's awful! It just breaks your heart to see a new little baby in so much pain while they are trying to eat or even just sit there and take in the new scenery.
So, if you thought babies were expensive before, try having a baby with these problems. One 16 oz. can of Nutramigen, (these are the small cans), costs $26. One month supply of the acid reflux medication Prevacid, $75. So, when your baby drinks a little over 2 cans of formula a week, things get REALLY expensive. Then just add in the cost of diapers and all that fun stuff that babies need and you have an expensive car payment. Even though we love our girls more than anything and they are so worth it, Riley and I have pretty much decided that putting another baby through this pain is not worth it. So, at this point in time, we are NOT having any more kids!!!!
So, we haven't done too much lately, but this is some of what we've been dealing with, so I thought I'd post about it. And...as a added bonus, her is a picture of the girls in the tub.

What the heck????

Ok, so I am always reviewing friends blogs and after much "peer-pressure", I finally gave in and created a blog. But, I must warn you.....I don't know what the heck I am doing! I had to call my friend Marci and have her help me even create the stupid page. So, after about an hour on the phone with her, I finally figured out how to post some pictures and create some slide shows. Thanks Marci!!!!

So, what I have so far isn't the best, but bare with me because I am still trying to figure this all out. Plus, I don't know how much time I will have to actually post on here. But, most everyone just wants to see pictures of the girls, so I guess that's what I'll try to keep updated.
